Our history...

The business was founded in 1945 by John Reynolds (Snr). As a qualified bricklayer and previous site manager for WC French, now Kier Group plc, he decided to start the business to repair and rebuild bomb-damaged properties after World War II.

His son, John Reynolds, joined the company in the late 1960’s and still works today. He trained and worked as a quantity surveyor also with WC French before joining the family business. He has an ONC and HNC in building technology and passed the membership examinations of the Chartered Institute of Building.

John’s son, James Reynolds, has now worked for J Reynolds for over 15 years. He began his building career as a trainee quantity surveyor for DJ Higgins and Sons, now the Higgins Group plc. He has an ONC and HNC in Building Studies and a BSc degree in Construction Management. He is also an Incorporated Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
